The Hospice Organization and Palliative Experts (HOPE) of Wisconsin

The HOPE of WI is a membership organization for all hospice and palliative care programs, serving our members with advocacy, legislation, education and resources. Our organization began in 1987 as the Hospice Organization of Wisconsin (HOW) to serve licensed hospices throughout Wisconsin. Our name was extended to include Palliative Experts by vote of membership in 2000. The name change reflects our commitment to also serve the growing number of palliative programs of care in our State.

The Hospice Organization and Palliative Experts of Wisconsin (HOPE)
is incorporated in the State of Wisconsin and recognized as tax-exempt under
Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Vision

Hospice and Palliative care will be readily available to Wisconsin residents diagnosed with a life-limiting illness. A quality end-of-life will become a reality for all Wisconsin residents.

Mission

To provide education, legislative advocacy and partnership opportunities to all individuals and organizations in the State of Wisconsin who influence or provide hospice and palliative care services.

Belief

We believe that hospice care provides quality end-of-life services to the terminally ill. We believe that everyone in need of palliative care services should have access to them.
